Over the years, there have been a few hospitals in the news for a number of reasons, such as not having enough government funding or lack of staff members. The most common reason for hospitals to be in the news nowadays is because it is poorly run and the patients are not being looked after properly. The most recent hospital to be featured in the news for this very reason is Basildon Hospital. Many people have complained about how poorly they were treated and have actually submitted a lawsuit against the hospital.
This does not suprise me in the slightest, the hospital has possibly the poorest track record for patient care in the whole of Essex, too many mistakes have been made and lives have been lost because of those mistakes. Whether this is because the hospital is understaffed or just due to plain incompetence I don’t know but whatever the reaosn is, they need to get their acts together and try to rectify the problem. There is a personal reason as to why I am writing an article on Basildon hospital.
my mum had an ear operation performed there sometime last year and they messed it up and caused her to be in constant pain and be unable to work for a good 6 months or so, I was furious which is of course understandable and I struggle to beleive that this silly excuse for a hospital is still open! Nearly every single week there is a new case of medical negligance of some sort reported involving Basildon hospital and they keep getting away with it, always coming up with feeble excuses that government officials seemed to be satisfied with and I have had enough, either the hospital gets some form of help to get itself into shape or it’s closed down, simple as that. By keeping this hospital open lives are being put at risk! It’s just not morally right in any sense and nothing is being done to put an end to it!
This is a message to Jeremy Hunt or any politician that will listen really: Somone NEEDS to do SOMETHING about this hospital, I don’t care what it is as long as it solves this ever growing issue! somone needs to act now before somone else suffers and possibly dies at the hands of Basildon hospital.
